Ten plans for the whole family to enjoy

A wide variety of activities for children in Oropesa del Mar

There is nothing better for children than a pleasant surprise and to let their imagination run wild. That's why, when you come to Oropesa del Mar with your family, you'll find all sorts of different types of entertainment, some of which are related to the sea, others to the mountains, some to games. There are even some that have to do with pirates, with decks of cards or with detective plots. Here are a few clues, but there are many more. Discover them.

1. Water sports
Countless nautical activities to enjoy with your family: sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, diving, jet skiing, boat trips...

2.La Concha Beach.
The waves and sand are enough of an attraction for children when their imaginations run wild, but this beach also has playgrounds and swings, and is also the starting point for paddling in the sea with pedal boats or other water activities.

3. Paddle surfing.
It's fun and easy, or maybe not so much. You have to balance and let yourself go. Plus, you'll never miss an unexpected dip in the water. Sport and fun on the water in an activity that the whole family can join in.

4. Museum of the Naipe.
A more leisurely and surprising alternative. This is a unique museum dedicated to playing cards. There are all kinds, including the largest in the world. Who doesn't like to play a game during a break? You can see a huge variety of playing cards and learn a little more about their history and the art of illustration.

5. Watchtowers.
If you want to know why there are a series of towers on the coast of Oropesa del Mar, you can take a trip and enjoy them. Just tell you that they have to do with pirate attacks and battles centuries ago, when the Mediterranean was a sea full of dangerous adventures. You can start from the King's Tower, on the promontory in the middle of the city, and go on a route around the Colomeras towers.

6.Marlon Kart.
Do you want to try a safe karting circuit designed for all ages? Well, here you have the chance to be a driver for a while and let yourself be carried away by the speed on a fully equipped track next to the N-340 road and with a wide range of karts. To take part in competitions or have a good time with your friends and family.

7.Secretorum.
Come out if you can. A brain teaser, a detective game. Secretorum allows you to feel like Sherlock Holmes, to play magic, to draw up impossible plans. It is an escape game in real time with clues, keys and hiding places that lead you to a final door, the one that allows you to get out. That is, if you find it.

8. Sea Greenway.
One of the great alternatives for active tourism in Oropesa del Mar. On foot or by bike, to cover all or part of it. As long as your body can take it, whatever you feel like. Views of the sea and the town on a gentle route that also gives you access to viewpoints and cliffs.

9. International Puppet Festival.
Held in July, this is one of the festivals and meetings held throughout the year. This international festival is organised on an annual basis and it is possible to see different animation techniques from puppets to shadow puppets, from string puppets to flat silhouettes. Puppets are still a delight for children.

10.Skatepark.
With a good helmet and the corresponding protections, here is an alternative on wheels in the city. The skatepark is at the service of both experienced skaters and beginners on its various fun ramps.
