1.Castle and old town.
The castle of Oropesa del Mar is a magnificent starting point to get to know the town and play a little game of lookout over the splendid beaches, the sea and the mountains. Built by the Muslims who abandoned the coastal enclave of "Orpesa la Vella", a visit to the castle leads to the old quarter of the town full of treasures hidden among its winding streets, from the Museum of Oropesa del Mar to the Museum of the Playing Card, passing through the Chapel of the Virgin of Patience. Lose yourself in its streets and squares, enjoy good tapas and dishes in the bars and restaurants you will find.
2.Sea Greenway.
An alternative to the beaches. You can do it as you like, on foot or by bike, with children, pushing the machine, all the way to its end point in Benicàssim or stopping to enjoy the beaches, viewpoints, watchtowers... A walk and a thousand ways to enjoy it. You have 5.7 kilometres of route, of which 5.5 kilometres are in the municipality of Oropesa del Mar. The route starts in Oropesa del Mar next to the Playa de la Concha beach (it is well signposted) and goes through places of great environmental value next to the sea.
3. At the bottom of the sea.
A hidden place, but within everyone's reach, it is below sea level. You can be an expert or beginner diver, or maybe you prefer to go snorkelling. Whatever you prefer, but the seabed is sure to offer you beautiful and always intriguing places, such as the Cala del Retor cove, the Cape of Oropesa or the area around Orpesa la Vella. If you move away from the town centre, you can go to the Renegà beach. Drop in at some of the companies that will help you practise a fascinating sport in the sea and teach you everything you need to know, if you have never dived before.
4. La Renegà.
The most rugged area of the coast of Oropesa del Mar. If you feel like recovering a Mediterranean preserved with hardly any intervention, here you have a series of coves between cliffs that can make you breathe that atmosphere that is increasingly difficult to find. The surroundings are also very pleasant. The beaches are carved by the wind and the sea, inland there is a watchtower, a greenway and lush pine forests, and when you dive into the water, be sure to take a look at the seabed.
5. Sierra de Oropesa del Mar.
An oasis for hiking if comfortable shoes and walking are your thing. In the Sierra de Oropesa del Mar you have several routes to follow, one of them is called "Camí de la Serra" and the variant that takes you to "Barranc del Diable". Of course, this path has a medium-high difficulty, but if you want other alternatives there are several trails, all of them signposted and from which you can obtain information to follow them with guarantees.
